Yu Tianqi

Yu Tianqi, female, documentary and non-fiction film producer and researcher. Master of Sociology from the University of Cambridge, Ph.D. in Film, University of Westminster Abbey, London. In 2006, he was selected into Discovery China's "Emerging Director Project". He has taught documentaries at the University of Nottingham China (Ningbo) and the University of Kent in the UK. Served as an assistant professor in the Department of Film at the University of the West of Scotland in the United Kingdom, an international jury member of the Glasgow Document Documentary Film Festival in the United Kingdom, and an associate professor of film and imaging studies at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University-University of Southern California School of Cultural and Creative Industries. The work "Dream in Shenzhen" won the Best Documentary and Jury Award at the 2008 British College Student Film Festival, and "Memory of Home" was collected by DSLCollection Contemporary Art and was shown in several exhibitions.
