Xing Meng was born in Northeast of China in 1993. In 2019 she graduated from Birmingham University with a Ph.D. She developed an obsession with cinematic art while in engineering school and started to volunteer in film crews. Participated in a number of features and short films, acted as script supervisor, assistant director and other positions. <36 Exposures> is a short film written and directed by Xing Meng, and it entered the official selection of International Usak Winged Seahorse Short Film Festival 2019, nominated for the best thriller in 2020 by Melbourne Short Film Festival and the Special Screening in 86358 Short Film Festival 2020. <Rodin> is a feature project that is currently under early development, which enter 6TH SINO-EUROPEAN PROJECT LAB.
