Liu Xin, Independent Creator | Field Chronicles Practitioner | Sound and Image Artist | Community Project Founder Born in Heilongjiang, currently residing in Hainan. Inspired by rock culture from young age, I developed a creative approach rooted in fieldwork and documentation. Dedicated to revealing hidden narratives through visual and auditory practices, his work brings authentic life and indigenous wisdom to light. Rejecting the "God's-eye view," his practice emphasizes presence and perception. Often metaphorically called an "undercover observer," he mirrors the symbiotic relationship between rainforest honey gatherers and bees, becoming a translator and guardian of forest wisdom through prolonged companionship. Initiatives like Nagaxila, Shanmin Zhiku Cooperative, and Desert Island World stem from his enduring quest to answer "Where is our homeland?" . These efforts form a continuous mission: demystifying the world through sincere documentation, restoring dignity and understanding to overlooked life forms.
