SECOND RUN: FIRST Film Festival Retrospective
FIRST International Film Festival is committed to the discovery and promotion of emerging filmmakers and their early works. Held annually in Xining, China.
In the past 15 years, hundreds of films and filmmakers got their showcase in FIRST. CathayPlay selects 16 films from previous editions, showing you various aesthetic styles of Chinese language independent films. Most of the films are produced with low budget, but full of humanity, and unique art attempt. Afterward, some of these filmmakers were selected by Cannes Film Festival, Visions du Réel, IDFA and other top festivals with their new works.
